Nigeria improves on the African Ranking

Nigeria's Super Eagles maintained their 58th position on the world ranking released early today by the world football governing body, FIFA.
Though there is no upward improvement, the country maintained the position it occupied last month on the world ranking. It, however, improved a step upward in Africa from number 11 in August to number 10 which
was occupied by Sierra Leone.
In the month under review, Nigeria played a goalless draw against Niger in an international friendly tie ahead of their 2013 Africa Cup of Nations qulaifier against the Lone Star of Liberia Meanwhile, Spain are still world's number one followed by Germany, England, Portugal, Uruguay, Italy,
Argentina, Netherlands, Croatia and Denmark in that order in the world's top 10.
On the African continent, Didier Drogba's Cote d'Ivoire are still number one followed by Algeria, Ghana, Mali, Libya, Egypt, Tunisia, Zambia and Gabon.
