A Couple took their baby to their robbery operations

According to Atlanta police reports, the man and woman who decided to bring a baby while they committed two armed robberies were in custody on Friday.

The couple, 21 year old Brandon Nicholas Lawson and 18 year old Joi Monai Jenkins, were arrested on Thursday night.

In an e-mail statement, Officer John Chafee with Atlanta police said that Lawson is reportedly awaiting to be returned to Atlanta where he will face charges. At the time of his arrest, Lawson is reported to have been on parole. He has already served prison time three different times.
According to Atlanta police Sgt. Curtis Davenport, the couple will both be charged with armed robbery.

Jail records show that Lawson was arrested on totally separate charges from the robbery and was accused of car theft and giving a false name. It was the warrant for his arrest, based on surveillance footage and released photos, that led to the police connecting him to the armed robbery in which him and Jenkins committed the crime with a baby in their care.

An older man in his 60s was robbed at gunpoint while walking home from the supermarket. The man reports being robbed at gun point by a man with a gun, accompanied by a woman with a stroller and a crying baby. According to the police report, the armed man took the older man’s wallet and demanded the pin number for his ATM card.

The next day, another man, also in his 60s, reported a similar incident to the police.
